Mixed Methods Researcher

What I Do
I am a mixed‑methods UX researcher with strong command of survey research, usability testing, interviews, and focus groups. I use AI tools to support analysis and synthesis when appropriate, and I translate research into clear stories that inform decisions.

Most of my UX research experience is in the B2B SaaS environment, collaborating with cross-functional product teams at Adobe, and marketers, content authors, and admins at enterprise companies like Nordstrom, Delta, Walmart, and so on.
Longitudinal research
programs & panels
I design and run ongoing research programs that provide sustained access to real users across regions and roles, enabling rapid feedback throughout the product lifecycle.
This is how I contributed to Adobe’s Experience Manager’s Experience Hub, where ongoing user access shaped decisions across the full product lifecycle.
Concept & early-stage
design validation
I help teams evaluate early concepts and prototypes to reduce downstream risk and ensure solutions reflect real user needs before heavy investment.
This is how I contributed to Adobe Experience Platform’s Agent Orchestrator, where concept testing helped reduce risk before major investment.
Usability testing &
workflow evaluation
I conduct usability studies to uncover friction, breakdowns, and misunderstandings in real workflows, especially within complex enterprise tools.
This is how I contributed to Adobe Experience Manager’s Sites Optimizer, where usability findings led directly to clearer workflows and fewer breakdowns.
Enterprise &
cross-role research
I research complex products used by multiple roles, technical, creative, and business, to ensure solutions work across organizational boundaries.
This is how I contributed to Adobe’s Workfront tool, which required balancing the needs of multiple roles and priorities across a complex organization.
AI, automation & emerging technology research
I help teams evaluate how users understand, trust, and adopt AI-powered systems, focusing on transparency, usability, and real-world value.
This is how I contributed to Adobe’s Model Context Protocol tool, where user trust and understanding were central to the adoption of AI-powered features.
Strategy, alignment & decision support research
I translate research findings into actionable guidance that informs product strategy, roadmaps, and business decisions.
This is how I contributed to Adobe Experience Manager Assets, where research insights directly informed product direction and business decisions.
Instead of waiting days or weeks for formal research reports, I reframed research findings as short, story-driven updates that teams could quickly read, share, and act on. The goal was to reduce the gap between a research session and product decision-making. In many cases, we could move from session to summarized insight in about 30 minutes. The format worked well because it aligned with how modern product teams consume information. It was concise, actionable, and easy to circulate. It helped teams maintain momentum while still grounding decisions in customer insight and research rigor.
Spotlight Impact: Design Review Roundtable
To meet increasing demand for faster, more iterative research, I created the Design Review Roundtable, an ongoing collaborative research program designed to connect Adobe Experience Manager teams directly with marketers, content authors, and admins at enterprise companies around the world.
I love the way that you gathered the information. You created a safe environment and were very personable during the interviews. So just kudos to you and your team for all of this. And I think you've captured basically the essential issues that users face for our product, and of other products in the space as well. - Group Product Marketing Manager,
Adobe
Great study! Nate was an exceptional partner. He communicated clearly what the
process was and what was needed to kick-off the research, supported me and my team
to iterate on our goals and study structure to ensure best results, and the outcomes of
the study and artefacts that he created and shared with us, are valuable and actionable -
all of this with a positive and solution-driven attitude always there to helps us. Nate was
also very responsive, if I didn't know we were in different time zones, I would've thought
we were in the same geolocation (which is amazing but damn!). - Anonymous, Adobe
Well, Nate, I just want to jump in real quick and say this is probably one of the most
comprehensive research projects I've ever seen. And I just want to congratulate you and
thank you for doing such an excellent job. I mean, the level of detail here is awesome
and I know we're going to be able to do a lot with this. - Sr Product Manager, Adobe

appreciate the way that you handled all these interviews. - Mgr, Product Management, Adobe
Just wanted to say a big thank you again for your help with the Agent Composer / Orchestrator research back in April. I took a bit of a break from it, and now that I'm diving back in, the way you documented and recorded everything has made it SO easy to get reengaged. Seriously, it's been a huge help. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Nate, this is amazing. Like the help you gave us was really invaluable, and I think this
kind of gives us even more confidence that we're moving in the right direction [...] But
yeah, I think this, this is amazing. - Senior Product Manager, Adobe

Nate has been very busy being helpful and learning everything he can. He's taken on
several different surveys and research projects and has jumped both feet into running discovery meetings and working on the CFP Newsletter. This has helped allow the team to focus on some longer range projects, thanks for having a great can-do attitude, being diligent, and having a fun sense of humor too! - Sr Experience Researcher, Adobe
Nate jumped in eagerly to take over the creation of the Customer Feedback Programs
monthly newsletter via Campaign. Not only did he get to learn our process on what to
include, but also learned Campaign and all its nuances very quickly. This will also open
up several hours of time for me monthly, which is much appreciated. - Director, Customer Feedback Programs and Voice of the Customer
The Alpha & Beta team were swamped with incoming review requests this week. Nate
took the initiative to jump in and complete some of the reviews for us. He saved us from
drowning and we are so grateful for his awareness, promptness and thoroughness.
